Overtime Woes Contiune for the Swarm

We are thankful for the Colorado Mammoth. Without them losing again this weekend, the Minnesota Swarm would not have clinched the fourth and final spot in the West for the playoffs. We definitely did not do it on our own as we fell to the Philadelphia Wings at The Hive in overtime by a 13-12 score on Saturday night.

The Wings rallied with five goals in the fourth quarter to send it to overtime, where Geoff Snider got the ball on a breakaway to put it past Swarm goaltender Nick Patterso at the 3:12 mark. This is the third overtime loss this season for the Swarm, their third straight home loss and fifth overall.

Aaron Wilson led the Swarm with three goals and three assists. His 38 goals this season continues to grow as the most in Swarm history. Ryan Benesch and Sean Pollock each had five points each and Kevin Ross had three goals and an assist. Snider led the Wings with four goals and three assists. The loss to the Wings is the second straight to them this year, the first time the Wings have beaten the Swarm multiple times in a season since the inaugural season in 2005.
