Last year, the Mammoth swept the Swarm in both games. The first game was in Colorado on February 1st and was tied through three quarters but John Grant scored two of his three goals
in the last stanza including the game winner for the 14-12 win. Zack Higgins made his first ever NLL and Swarm start saving 37 shots. In the rematch at The Hive on April 19th, the Mammoth
dominated early and often on their way to an 18-12 victory. Grant scored his 600th career goal in game and Callum Crawford passed Ryan Benesch in all-time Swarm regular
season goals with 142. The Mammoth have won three straight and six of the last eight games in the series.

Season opener for both teams on Saturday.
Notes:
- Swarm Promotion: Yellow Out The Hive
- Jordan MacIntosh was named an assistant captain out of training camp
- Look for a game day decision on who will start in net for the Swarm. My hunch is Brodie MacDonald considering the effort the team made to acquire him.
- The Swarm have not won a season opener since 2009 when they beat the LumberJax in Portland, 11-7.
- This is the first time the Swarm have opened the season at The Hive since 2011.
- The Swarm are 5-5 in home openers but 3-7 in season openers

- The Swarm and Mammoth played each other in the pre-season with the Swarm winning 16-15 in an overtime shootout on December 13, 2014
