Total 5-10 3-5 2-5 1-0 0-1

The two teams split last year's series with each team winning at home. The Swarm won their game on February 12, 2012 in Evan Kirk's first ever start for the Swarm where he saved 46 shots in a 9-6 win. That win snapped a five game losing streak to the Knighthawks dating back to 2008.

The two teams also met last pre-season in Rochester, with the Knighthawks winning 19-15.

The Knighthawks are the only team the Swarm will not play in the 2013 regular season.

  • Look for seven runners to play the entire game. Eleven players each will play the first and second halves.
  • Sam Bradman, the 24th pick in the 2012 NLL Entry Draft, joined the Swarm this weekend for camp after playing for his LXM Pro team last weekend in Las Vegas.
  • Look for all four goaltenders to get work during the game.
  • Keep an eye on the right side of the offense as Jay Card, Corbyn Tao, Pat Smith and Brdman will be battling for maybe one or two spots on the rosters. It is possible to see one of these players make the team primarily out the back door this year if they make the team.
  • Fans will get a good luck at how Brock Sorensen and Greg Downing look in action after recovering from knee surgeries in the off season.
  • Jordan MacIntosh is expected to miss the game due to a concussion suffered in the pre-season loss to the Mammoth on December 1st.
  • Mitch Belisle may miss the game due to Stickin' it to Sandy, an event that Mitch's Trilogy Lacrosse is sponsoring for Hurricane Sandy Relief.
  • The coaches have been saying the roster should be cut down to about 26 players after the end of game. Those 26 will then go back to Oakville, ON next weekend to prepare for the regular season opener in Buffalo on January 12th, which will be the next time the team will be together.
  • The Knighthawks are the defending NLL champions.
  • Casey Powell returns to the NLL after taking the 2012 season off.
  • Former Swarm player Andy Secore is an assistant coach with the Knighthawks.
  • Former Swarm player Chris Courtney is attempting to make a return to the NLL. His only time in the NLL camw with the Swarm in 2008.

Prediction: Minnesota Swarm 16 Rochester Knighthawks 13
