The Swarm have scrimmage against the Mammoth today at 5:00 pm CST. Us fans will have to follow twitter and facebook to find out what is happening, but like Coach Sullivan says in the Q&A today, the Swarm are treating as a real game to get all the guys to prepare themselves properly when the games count next month.

With up to 40 players for both teams, there will be a few things to look for:

  • How will Brock Sorensen look coming off injury?
  • Which lefties will elevate their game to join Ryan Benesch in January?
  • Which players will eliminate themselves from making the team for not putting out full effort?
  • How well Alex Crepinsek covers John Grant? Alex did a good job this summer against him according to reports and this may have moved him up to the first round. Can he continue that stellar D?

Colorado just signed Michael Brascia, who the Swarm released earlier this week, so he should be pumped up. Remember, we eliminated them last year so expect a great effort from them also. Each team will probably split their squads in half, with one playing in the first and one in the second half. Each of the Swarm goalies, should get a quarter of action today.

After today, I figure a few players will be released in preparation for next week's pre-season game in Rochester.

Prediction: Minnesota Swarm 15 Colorado mammoth 14
